DO SIZE MATTERS ?

Reasons Why Body Size Doesn't Matter.

Let's face it, models have really unrepresentative bodies.

In the actual world, there are slim people, but there are also larger-framed women who can seem just as attractive. Although there are many different body types, many of us have been led to believe that only one is optimal for fashion.

Girl With Curves seeks to change this mentality. Girl With Curves was founded in 2011 by Tanesha Awasthi to represent regular people who aren't a size 0 or 2. An "award-winning site made possible by people who believe women deserve to look and feel beautiful, regardless of weight, shape, or size," according to the blog's description.

Even though you can't afford to gain weight, you yet want to eat that last piece of cake. I understand the obsession with keeping a certain weight, but what is the correct size? Indeed, size does matter in society. In fact, it appears to be the only thing on our minds. Women are frequently made fun of for not being a size 0 or a size 12.

You are lovely just as you are

Maybe your weight is causing you problems. You might weigh a little bit more or a little bit less than you would like to, and you're attempting to reach your target weight. Relax, exercise, eat healthily, and be patient; don't try to be perfect right away. Being at ease with your body and loving it for what it is because you are attractive is what counts most.

You're a college student

Your typical diet consists of pizza, soda, and beer, with the occasional nutritious meal thrown in. You hardly get any sleep due to your obligations at work, school, and clubs. A balanced diet requires sleep; without enough sleep, it's simpler to put on weight. Additionally, frequenting keg stands on weekends will inevitably result in a beer belly. College students who are overly busy will inevitably acquire weight; don't worry, it's normal.

Everyone is fat

This is my go-to defence when I'm subjected to body shaming. We're all obese, according to the model community. In modeling, the rules are so twisted that anyone larger than a size 5 is viewed as being too big. I don't know about the rest of you, but for me, a size 5-10 appears to be about average. In truth, most people are between sizes 8 and 12. So if someone approaches you and makes a crude remark about your size, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are beautiful both inside and out. Then remind them that everyone in the modelling industry is overweight and that we shouldn't base our perceptions of beauty on what we see in the media (for example, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show; I assure you that you are not meant to look like that; those models follow strict diets and exercise routines to maintain sizes 0-2) So stop allowing society dictate your opinion on size because I'm beautiful, you're beautiful, and we are all beautiful.

You're healthy

If your body desired for you to be a size zero, you would be one. Instead, your body has set a fixed size for you and wants you to have a healthy metabolism and nutrition. Your genetic makeup is mostly responsible for how you are. Do not starve yourself simply because you are not as skinny as you would like to be. It makes no difference how much you weigh as long as you're healthy—you might weigh 10 pounds or 250.

So there you go, bodily size is irrelevant. So leave this page and grab a slice of pizza with your gorgeous, healthy, college-aged ass. Remind those body shamers that "you're obese too"!
